This is the best Spicy Alfredo Sauce that comes together in less than 10 minutes. It's perfect served with chicken and pasta, and has to be one of my favourite sauces of all time. All you need is butter, garlic, gochujang, cream, oregano, and parmesan. I really hope you enjoy it!
This creamy spicy alfredo sauce is admittedly not authentic. But an adapted modernised version that is so delicious and such a house-favourite. I love pasta sauces like this one and my sweet potato sauce that are really simple and low effort to make but are some of my go-to recipes.

Why you'll love this recipe
Simple: This spicy alfredo sauce requires 6 ingredients and comes together in less than 10 minutes if you choose to serve it with pasta too!
Versatile: The great thing about this gochujang alfredo sauce is that you can serve it with pasta, chicken, potatoes, or in a sandwich. It honestly goes with so much!
Creamy: You can't not love a creamy pasta sauce and this recipe is one of my favourites. Another one of my favourites is my avocado chilli oil linguine!
Ingredients & Substitutions
Butter: I've used salted butter for this recipe for extra seasoning. If you're looking to make it plant-based, use a vegan alternative.
Garlic: Fresh raw cloves of garlic are best for flavour in the spicy alfredo sauce recipe. I've used 3 garlic cloves, but feel free to use more if you're a garlic fan! I wouldn't recommend using garlic granules, but if they're you're only option then go for it!
Gochujang: This is a Korean red pepper paste that has a gorgeous smoky spice to it. If you don't have it, you could use chili garlic paste, sriracha, or harissa for a different type of spice!
Cream: I used light cream / single cream for this recipe. You can also use heavy cream or a plant-based alternative too.
Oregano: Dried oregano adds a lovely herbaceous note to this spicy pasta sauce. If you don't have oregano, adding parsley would be a good alternative.
Parmesan: Make sure to get a block of parmesan and grate it fresh into the pasta. Using pre-grated parmesan isn't as good because it includes an anti-caking agent that can them coagulate when added to a sauce.

Step by step instructions with photos
Step 1: Place a non-stick frying pan on medium heat and add in your butter. Once it's melted, follow in with your minced garlic and fry for a couple of minutes until fragrant.
Step 2: Add in the gochujang paste followed by your cream. Give it a good stir and reduce to low heat.
Step 3: Add in your oregano and season with salt and pepper according to your preference.
Step 4: Transfer your cooked pasta into the sauce and then sprinkle in some freshly chopped parsley and grate your parmesan. Give everything a good mix until well combined. Then divide between your serving plates and enjoy!
What to do with leftovers
Storage: Place leftover spicy alfredo sauce in an airtight container. If you've got pasta with it too, then add it in. Place in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Freezing: Once again, place any spicy alfredo sauce into an airtight container and into the freezer and store for up to 3 months. Leave to thaw in the fridge overnight when you're wanting to eat it. The texture may have changed slightly.
Reheating: When reheating the sauce, I'd recommend doing it on the stovetop (hob), in a pan on low heat. Pour in the sauce and then add a splash of water, milk, or cream to loosen the sauce. Season according to your preferences and serve up with whatever you fancy!
